This is what "the happy child website has to say about it:

"USE YOUR HEAD by TONY BUZAN

Amazingly, this book has been revised and reprinted 23 times since it was first published in 1974. It is such a special book that a party to celebrate its 21st birthday was held at the Royal Albert Hall in April 1995!

So what is so special about this book? The story of Edward Hughes and his phenomenal success at going from a B and C student at school to achieving some of the highest marks in his subject at Cambridge University, found in the first chapter, is testimony to the power of the techniques taught in Use Your Head.

Imagine being able to devour text books in a matter of hours, fully understand all of the information that you have learnt and be able to retain your new found knowledge indefinitely.

It is possible if you learn to speed read and Mind Map and this book will tell you how. In its pages it explains how fantastic your mind really is and how much potential our brain really has. What is a Mind Map? Well it is a note taking technique that mirrors how our brain actually works.

The early sections on the brain are necessary because it challenges how conventional learning methods may not necessarily be the best way to learn. The powerful Mind Map technique is introduced together with a review strategy and study technique that will give you the edge in learning.

I believe that everyone about to embark on any course of study should read this book but should do so at least a couple of months before learning begins because it does take a change in mind set to fully embrace and become comfortable with the technique.

If any parents are reading this then I believe it should be a criminal offence for you not to buy this book for your children! It is not a panacea and some effort is required but properly used, the results are startling.

I have used the technique for three years now and I often lament "If only I had been given this book at university". This is the first book that I recommend to anyone who asks me about memory improvement. I hope you have got the message! "
